I took care of a couple 99 and 102 years old respectively in a retirement community for 2 and half years in the comfort of their apartment. I did activities of daily living ,clothing helped with toileting, laundry, feeding and short walks . I entertained them by reading magazines and newspapers and games like scrabbles and puzzles. I have been giving an occasional help to a family of about 6 children and one of them being autistic. I got them dressed up early for school in the mornings and took care of them after school till their mom arrived home from work and their dad being a truck driver is usually away from home. I helped in doing their laundry when needed and sometimes made them dinner, All the children were assigned to a daily chore so I made sure we come together and get all completely done and also Read more their school assignment before the went to bed. As a loving , friendly,patient,caring and hard working grand mum, I feel so comfortable and compassionate helping and caring for people.
