I have been a babysitter for seven years and am experienced with young children. It has been very rare that I have had trouble disciplining children. I have my own car, so transportation will not be an issue. I have a passion for working with children and enjoy playing with them. I value time spent outside in nature playing; children should be learning about the world around them by experiencing it, not by watching it on TV. I was a high school graduate and a valedictorian in my class. I am majoring in Microbiology and minoring in Spanish at NC State. I am passionate about science and excel at science and math concepts. I participated in Science Olympiad and placed 10th in the Chemistry competition. Every opportunity to take higher science and math courses has been taken; I have doubled up in both subjects. I have worked at my church's Read more VBS for six years and have experience with working with groups of children and keeping them under control. I am an avid reader and love making crafts. Over the years, I have learned to cook and bake and can prepare meals as needed. I am flexible with hours and can be easily contacted through email or text. Having a dog, I have learned how to properly take care of a pet and am very comfortable with animals. I have 6+ years of in-depth Spanish learning and have spent 2 weeks in Guatemala with children in an orphanage speaking Spanish. I am CPR certified and am willing to bandage up cuts.
