I’m an 8th grade English teacher in Wake County, and I’m looking for some occasional summer work. I started tutoring in elementary schools and babysitting in high school. I studied Human Development and Family Studies in undergrad at UNC, and I got my master’s in teaching middle school language arts there as well. Throughout college, I worked in many different settings including UNC Hospital’s pediatric playroom, various nonprofit organizations, summer camps for elementary and middle schoolers, and pre-, elementary, middle, and high school volunteering and tutoring. I have worked as a nanny and babysitter intermittently as well. I am happy to help with household tasks, and I have some experience with bookkeeping and household management. I’m currently on summer break until the end of August, and when I return I will be teaching 8th grade, serving as English department chair, and leading a running club.
