Before I can remember I have been watching children and taking care of younger ones. I was the tween/teen that my parent’s friends would ask to watch their kids for them on date nights and work filled days. In the beginning, I didn’t understand why watching children was considered such a tedious task, or that I was even supposed to get paid for my time. I simply enjoyed caring for the little ones and creating entertaining days/nights for them to have fun with and use their imaginations. When I was 10, my sister was born and I dove into the role of a nanny for her. My parents worked a lot from home and depended on me to keep my little sister safe and occupied.
