Since I was 8 years old my family has given me some responsibility in taking care of my younger cousins. From playing with them and making sure they had clean diapers, to making sure I shared my snacks with them. It was my responsibility to semi care for my 3 younger cousins. As I got older my responsibilities and child care grew. I started working in my churches nursery, taking care of babies during the service. By the time I was 12 I started to babysit my neighbors 2 children. When I was 16 and a sophomore in high school I nannied a girl in kindergarten. I used to pick her up from school and take care of her until her mom got off work. My last two jobs living in Dallas were nannying jobs. I worked for a family with a baby boy, and another family with 3 kids. Read more At large events I've always found myself playing with the smaller kids or babies. I love how kids are so open minded and loving, even when they are experiencing negative emotions they just need to be loved. I love helping kids understand their emotions and how to regulate them in their bodies. My favorite thing about working with kids is how new everything is to them. I love exploring outside and going on walks, stopping to show them flowers and insects. I've always loved doing arts and crafts, as a kid and an adult. I'm constantly looking at ideas on pinterest to do with kids. I try to mainly do mess free activities but also love to get dirty with water tables or finger paint! While doing activities I keep the area clean and clean up any messes made. I do light house keeping like cleaning bottles, dishes, laundry and cleaning the kids room. I cook amazing meals and love making snacks. One of my favorite activities to do is make lunch and take a walk to the park, so we can have a picnic then play on the playground. I am CPR and first aid certified, and have my own car for transportation.
