Why do you love being a sitter? I truly enjoy caring for children and supporting families. Being a mama of 6 including a set of twins, grandma of 1 and a doula allows me to create a safe, calm, and nurturing environment where children feel seen, heard, and cared for. I love helping kids learn, play, and grow while giving parents peace of mind knowing their children are in capable and loving hands. What experience do you have? I have over 20 years of hands-on experience as a stay-at-home parent and homeschool teacher. During that time, I’ve cared for children of various ages, managed daily routines, assisted with learning activities, meals, and bedtime, and handled the many unexpected moments that come with childcare. I also have experience supporting families through organization, communication, and consistency. What skills and training do you have? I bring strong childcare, organization, and communication skills. I’m patient, attentive, dependable, and very comfortable maintaining structure while being flexible to a child’s needs. My background includes homeschooling, and household management, which means I’m detail-oriented, trustworthy, and great at following family guidelines. I prioritize safety, respect family values, and always aim to create a positive, nurturing experience for every child.

Where do I even begin?! First off, Giah is SUCH a sweet & selfless woman. Her kindness alone will make you feel extremely comfortable with her. Even though we live in two different states, she was always available day or night for me, my husband and our baby. It had been 5 years since my last pregnancy, so I had forgotten a lot of little things when it came to pregnancy and childbirth. She is also the first doula Ive ever had. We had all intentions on having a home birth, or at least doing a majority of my labor at home, then making our way to the hospital. But circumstances changed and I had a scheduled c-section instead. BUT Giah was there for us every step of the way. With any concerns or questions I had, she always had an answer or reassurance. I will recommend Giah to anyone looking for a doula. She isn't just someone I had as a doula, but she has become family to us.

Hi 👋🏻 My names' Brittany, and l've been babysitting for over 20 years. My family and friends will tell you that I have an incredibly big heart, a lot of patience, and a strong desire to empathize with others. Laughter, in my opinion, is the greatest cure for all. I enjoy hearing others laughing and enjoying the wonders that life has to offer us all. Which is why I chose a speciality in behavioral analysis, providing therapeutic services to children who're between the ages of 2 years old to 12 years old and diagnosed with a developmental disorder(s). Although it's a difficult job, it's filled with so much joy and happiness! I also have 5 years of healthcare-related experience, working as a certified medical technician and medical assistant. I'm currently pursuing my bachelors and eventually, my doctorate, in clinical psychology. Someday, l'd like to use my credentials to offer therapeutic support, justice, and advocacy for adolescent and adult survivors. I am also adult and infant CPR and BLS certified. Right now, other than raising my five beautiful babies and creating a wonderful life with my husband of 12 years, my hobbies include dancing, listening to music, going for walks with my kids, fishing, creating educational lesson plans for my clients (yes, I truly enjoy this!), baking, crafting/DIY-ing, swimming, camping, and anything that gets me out of the house. I'm a born and raised Carolinian, who's lived in the 'boondocks' for the 32 years that l've been livin' and breathin.' So, believe me when I tell you that I know how to make any and every thing fun and adventurous. I am looking forward to all of the opportunities that await me within this app! Please don’t hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions or if you’re interested in knowing more about my professional experience.

I love being a sitter because it gives me the opportunity to provide comfort, safety, and genuine care to those who need it most. Whether I’m supporting children, pets, or individuals who need extra assistance, I enjoy creating a positive, calm environment where they feel secure and valued. Building trust and forming meaningful connections is incredibly rewarding, and I take pride in being someone others can rely on. I have nearly five years of experience working in a childcare facility, where I’ve cared for children of various ages and supported their daily routines in a structured, nurturing environment. In addition to supervising and engaging with children, I’ve handled responsibilities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and maintaining safe, organized spaces. My background has helped me develop patience, adaptability, and strong attention to individual needs. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and am currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My education gives me a deeper understanding of behavior, emotional development, and effective communication. I am also First Aid and CPR certified, ensuring I’m prepared to respond quickly and responsibly in case of emergencies.

I have had the privilege of working with children ages 0-18 or over 10 years. I have a wide range of experience in youth development, babysitting, and working with kids on the autism spectrum. Throughout my career I have developed out-of-school time curriculum to combat summer learning loss as well as ensured the safety of 50 campers per week at a licensed summer day camp. I hold certifications in CPR/First Aid and am a Praesidium Guardian of Sexual Abuse Prevention. Most importantly, I believe in creating a safe and structured environment where children are encouraged to explore their unique strengths and interests while ensuring that parents feel confident in the care they are being given.
