Hi, I'm Katy! I've been a sitter and part-time nanny for 10 years now and have always enjoyed working with children. I am interested in one-time babysitting, regularly scheduled babysitting, and part-time nanny positions as well as possible pet care and senior companionship positions. The arts have been a constant in my life since I was young and I love to bring those skills with me to create a nurturing and creative environment for the children I babysit. I have a Bachelor's degree in Design that has helped me develop my skills as well as work as an assistant teacher at Sawtooth School for Visual Arts in WSNC. I'm always down for a fun art project, preparing snacks, playing games, going on excursions, watching a movie, and/or helping with homework. I can do light house keeping such as loading/unloading the dishwasher, taking pets out for potty breaks (I'm definitely an Read more animal lover), and laundry for the children. I'm fairly laid back and like to encourage the development of your child('s) imagination and create a safe and supportive environment. We are living through some tough times and children need just as much support to cope with all of these intense changes as any other age group, if not even more so. I have 13 years of experience with dog care with my own dogs and family members dogs. Duties could have been anything from feeding, light walks, potty breaks, distribution of pills, baths, and play time. I have most experience with smaller dogs (<25). I do not have paid companion care experience but have often completed companion care for elderly relatives on occasion.
