Hi Everyone, I am a reliable and hard working 29 year old woman. I am currently CPR and First Aid, Swim Instructor, Sleep Training and Child Passenger Safety Technician certified. I have facilitated safety talks and conversations in large focus groups on Early Childhood Education and pride myself on my accumulated knowledge. I have volunteered in two preschools. I have an AAS in Early Childhood Education and I get my BA degree in psychology this May! Some areas of research I’ve participated in during my BA include synaptic transmission, child development, anxiety disorders in the pediatric population and screen time effects on child development. I believe that children bring joy, courage and purpose to everything they do. I have several cousins ranging in age from two to twelve and they keep me on my toes when I do see them. I have assisted in caring for one of them when he was a newborn and I cared for our family friend's child at two days old and held her in the hospital. If you want someone that will fight for and advocate for your children like a mother would, I am the one. I enjoy “type C” environments. I find they’re the perfect balance and right fit. I owned a Mutt (some golden retriever and some cattle dog) for 19 years. She loved playing fetch only when I threw a toy for her to keep and then I tricked her to give it back by throwing an additional toy. She was the best. I owned a tuxedo cat who was our family friend’s and she loved to sit by us on her terms. I presently have a cat who is 10 years old and very lazy. She is a Ragdoll. Animals: No exotic animals. Hello! I am Jordyn. I am 40 years old and I live in Zebulon with my husband and our 3 dogs. My husband is a night Nurse and is currently attending school to be a Nurse Practitioner. I have many years of babysitting/full time nannying experience but most recently I have been waiting tables and watching dogs and cats on Rover. I had to quit serving tables as my mom was very sick for 4 months and I lost her in February. The love I have for children and animals I got from her. To me, they are what makes life worth living. They don’t care about what you look like, or if you say something silly, it’s about the energy, heart and fun you bring to the table. I miss the innocence of childhood and being around kids reminds me of those good times. I also am an Endometriosis/Adenomyosis activist and am organizing a rally for more awareness and funding for both diseases. While I am a fun, creative and silly person, I am incredibly responsible. I am safe almost to an obsessive degree and I truly understand that not paying enough attention for one minute can be the difference between life and death. I've been enjoying child care full time for the last 14 years. During this time I have cared for children ranging in age from 6 weeks-14 years old. Some on a full time basis, some part time or as needed for work/play, Date Nights and some overnights, as well. I'm an active caregiver in that I enjoy taking my kids on outings to places like the library for Story Time, the park for educational programs, nature walks, playground, community centers for open play, museums, play dates and more. These activities are essential to broadening their social skills and providing lots of interactive fun. I read a lot to my kids, do crafts and go on neighborhood or backyard adventures. Most of all I provide them with lots of love and care to keep them safe and happy.
