Would you hire this sitter: I am a mom of two younger boys, one who has level 3 Autism with some development delays and behavior challenges as well. I am a certified CNA and have my BLS thru the American Heart Association. Before I had kids I was a Certified Pharmacy Technician and before that a transportation dispatcher. Thru middle and high school I was a families nanny for their two kids for 6 years starting when the kids where 5 months old at 5 years old. I love to make everything teachable, going on a walk learning about the weather or geology, to starting a garden and learning about plants and bugs. I even make trips to the grocery store educational by incorporating counting and letter or word recognition in. I myself LOVE to cook, craft, explore, and am a strong believer in continuing my quest to learn. I Read more also love taking the kids on outings. Have my son with his disabilities has not held me back in terms of keeping us inside. I love to take kids to the zoo or museum or park. This summer I took three rambunctious boys 7, 6, and 5 on a fishing excursion no problem. I am very aware of safety and planning when going on outings. I am always prepared with first aid kit (that stays in my car), extra water and snacks, hand sanitizer, extra clothes, and sunscreen and/or bug spray. If you have a special needs kiddo I would love to watch them and give you a break or even a date night. I have TONS of sensory items to help and am very good at keeping a cool head to help them. I have sensory bins with water beads, rice, or beans that are fun to play in. I have many different types of fidget toys and also have weighted blankets or body socks for smaller kids if needed. I am very open and willing to answer any questions. I also have a backed booster seat and carseat in my car, with room for three more kids to sit with one being a latch carseat. I am looking to make some money at a stay at home mom with flexible hours. Eventually I would like to maybe open my own childcare center or respite service for kids in my house, but we just moved to the area so need to do more research on that front.
