I am a 40+ Auntie to boy & girl, now teenagers, and BB-sat regularly for them since birth. Have also cared for friends children/grandchildren. Past volunteer in church nursery, assistant VBS teacher, worked at Twin Lakes Bible Camp in Iowa for two summers during college. Have worked in Lincoln as office/accounting support most of my career and completed several background checks for jobs in the financial industry, at SCC as well as church secretary for 8 years. Also completed background check/training to be a host parent to a German exchange student in my home during the 2012-13 school year. I currently work from my home computer for Fourth Grade Foresters (we provide tree seedlings to 4th grade students across the U.S. on Arbor Day.) When sitting, I enjoy reading to the children, playing board games or puzzles, crafts, coloring/painting/art stuff, music, VeggieTales, dolls/tea parties, trains, cars, card-table "forts," LEGOS!! Can Read more help with homework if applicable. Pet friendly, willing to cook meals/snack prep/clean-up, laundry/housework as needed. Past animal care includes dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbil, guinea pig, rats, parakeets, rabbits, goats, chickens, 10 ducklings (2009). Hobbies/Activities include going to dog park, gardening, embroidery/sewing, scrapbooking, baking, Bible studies, outreach to international students. I was not raised on much TV so can always find something fun to do without it. Past Girl Scout, 4-H member, piano & voice lessons, Spanish Club, FBLA trophy winner, World Vision child sponsor, international pen pals, travel (have been to Mexico, Canada, and most US states except Alaska, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia).
