Hi! My name is Lilly. I am 18 and going to be a sophomore at UNL next year! I am majoring in broadcasting and minoring in leadership. I love working with children because I was an only child growing up. I have always been drawn to large families to have a chance to experience the chaos and excitement. I love bonding with those who were like me and didn’t have siblings. When I was 12 years old my dad and my stepmom adopted a baby, and he is 6 now! I finally got a sibling and have had so much fun taking care of him and watching him grow. I have had small babysitting gigs, but most of it has been with him since my parents both have busy workdays. I have been a little girls volleyball coach through Wahoo Parks and Rec for 4 years with ages ranging from Read more kindergarten to sixth grade! I love motivating and encouraging my girls and getting to know them as little people at the same time. Creating fun environments in ways that relate to their hobbies and things that they like is something I think is vital to help them feel cherished and comfortable to be themselves! Since I am a broadcasting major, I love to be with people and make sure that they are welcome and respected. I love having fun and talking about anything and everything. Some of my hobbies include singing, watching movies, playing board games, reading, being outside, baking, and volunteering. I have worked at a farm supply store and greenhouse for 3 years and currently am in training to be a barista. Most of my skills are with customer and agricultural services! I went to high school in a small town called Mead. During my time there I played basketball, volleyball, and track. I was president of the FFA, FCCLA, and student council and did 4 years of choir, one-act, speech and band!
