Meet Laura

Once I complete my internship, I will graduate with a Bachelors of Science degree in Music education. I am very passionate in working with children and I want to teach at the younger ages. I have gained experience babysitting for multiple families over the past five-six years, and also grew up in a family of ten kids with three younger sisters. I love spending time with younger children, and have gotten to learn about child and youth development in school. I have gotten to spend time with children in school settings for my observation portion of my school methods classes, and at one point I got to work as a teachers assistance for preschoolers. I have also pursued timed working in assisted living and work with the elderly. I have been doing this for the past 4 1/2 years at multiple facilities. This does not necessarily pertain to children, except Read more it helps show that I have a great passion and enjoyment of helping and taking care of other people. In this field of work I get to care for others in a meaningful way, and that is the kind of work I want to pursue in my life. I have worked in many different fields of work over the past few years, and healthcare/children education and development is the career I want for my life.
