My name is Brett Matthews and I am a former Physical Education teacher in the state of New Hampshire. I received my degree in Physical and Health Education Teacher Certification (K-12) from Plymouth State University in 2017. Following this, I was the Physical Education teacher at Campton Elementary School (K-8) in Campton, NH the past three school years. Along with teaching, I was also the 7-8 Soccer Coach and the 7-8 Girls Basketball Coach plus helping out with the flag football team and other school functions and events when needed. I have also been a Counselor or Assistant Director at various summer recreation camps from 2010-2019. From 2010-2015 I was a Counselor at Plaistow Summer Recreation and from 2016-2017 I was the Assistant Director of the camp. During my time I had various duties such as attendance, record keeping of things such as injuries or incidents between campers, keeping a Read more schedule for activities and lunch/snacks, camper pickup and dropoff and creating, implementing, and running various activities and events. I was also a counselor at Meredith Parks & Recreation Summer Camp from 2018-2019 Along with this, when I am home I work for the YMCA North Shore's School's Out! program, which is before and after school care in the surrounding towns in Southern New Hampshire. I have also coached youth baseball, basketball, and football in programs in my hometown at various points. My mother has also run an at home daycare for the past 26 years, which has led me to have countless times of helping her or seeing how a care provider best operates for the children in their care. A little about me personally, I love working out, running, and moving in generally really. I love always being on the go, sitting around makes me antsy. I love sports, I'll watch almost any and all, but football is the one I love the most. I played in high school, along with soccer, basketball, and baseball at different points in my life. I enjoy listening to music, spending time with family, friends and my dog and catching up on the day whether it's on my computer or watching tv in my free time.
