Hi I'm Kelsey! I've worked with many children of all ages! I'm a certified paraeducator, also known as a chaos coordinator🙂. Its important for things to stay normal & predictable to help little ones stay stress-free, comfortable & happy. When I first started in childcare, my first mistake was picking up a baby each time she began to fuss. I would try to lay her down for tummy time, nap time, or simple independent play, but a screaming fest always ensued. While trying to fix this issue, I learned staying consistent/patient is key. It wasn't easy, but slowly, she gradually adjusted her expectations towards my new predictability pattern I began showing her, day after day. Eventually, success! No more screaming when I set her down!
