Since a young age, I have always had a passion for working with young children. At the age of 13, I began babysitting for families with small children in my neighborhood. These experiences persuaded me to continue to work with children in the future. After graduating from high school in 2010, I attended the University of Dayton in Ohio, where I majored in Early Childhood Education. While on summer and holiday breaks from school, I returned home to New Jersey and worked as a "floater" teacher at KinderCare Learning Center in Paramus. I worked in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms where I guided classroom activities, helped to change diapers and potty train children, and served meals. In May 2014, I graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. I now hold a teaching degree in both the state of New Jersey and Read more the state of Ohio. After graduation, I returned home to Allendale and I am currently working as a fifth grade teaching assistant in the Ridgewood school district. My hope and dream is to one day have my own elementary school classroom.
