I started out as a mommy’s helper for my neighbor who had triplets when I was 13 years old. I babysat for most families on my block while I was growing up. I would sometimes spend the night is the parents weren’t going to be home until the next morning. I then moved on to being a teachers assistant in daycares and nursery schools. I’ve worked with babies as young as 6 months, up to teenagers. I stepped away from the school setting for the last few years for personal (healthcare and income) reasons. My mother is a teacher of children and I adore all my nieces and nephews. I believe children need a good support system to allow their imagination and dreams flourish, to protect them and show them caring and love, to educate and help them when life gets tough.
