Available for the summer only, I am looking to make a connection with a family and their children. I fully believe in academic enrichment and love to do activities and games that encourage learning and fun! I'm more than willing to work with families to best suit the needs of their precious children! I want to grow with your family and bring a positive bright experience to your kids! Attending Rutgers University, I will be a junior in the upcoming fall semester. I am a history major looking to go into possibly teaching or museum work. Am the youngest of three and the only girl. I loved being a kid and even more so, I've learned I like working with kids. Beginning my senior year of high school I began interning in a kindergarten classroom and I fell in love. I learned a lot through my mentor who inspired me Read more to reach out further for opportunities. I started by volunteering as a tutor for a child in my neighborhood. Early in my senior year I began working at a Montessori school as an aftercare provider. I loved it so much I followed through by returning that summer and then the summer after. In college I've taken three different education classes. In my introduction class I observed a kindergarten and 9th grade history room class. I worked with my mentors to learn new techniques and problems they faced as seasoned teachers. I also took an infant and child development psychology which helped me better to understand children and their temperaments. My past two summers, the Montessori program has taught me so much, but now I'm ready to take what I've learned through my experiences and devote individual attention to children as a babysitter and/or nanny. I am very bubbly and outgoing! I adore the summer, but fall is definitely my favorite season. I like to spend time outside doing activities. My family is very big on hiking, kayaking, as well as boating. I'm a big beach bum! I'm an avid reader and I love to curl up on the couch with my two kitties. I also love to craft. I'm always looking for new ideas as decorations or gifts to create and share with family and friends. I love outings to the park, museums, movies, and even aquariums. As an added bonus, my college experience has taught me time management, prepping meals, running errands, as well as doing housework and laundry. :)
