When I was about 12 my brother had his first child and I cared for her, changed her diaper, fed her and rocked her to sleep. I fell in love with the fact that I would have my own someday. Then as I got into high school, I enrolled in a early childhood development course (at Cape May Technical High School) where I got to interact with 3-4 year olds daily and learn child psychology at the same time. Around that time, I received my CPR certification for child, teen, and adult. My senior year, I got assigned to the Pre-k class where I had to help the teacher with hands-on activities with the kids, such as, coloring, gluing, building, and playing.
