Hi! My name is Kate Matthews and I'm a 23 year old graduate student at Rowan University. I am currently working towards my masters in Higher Education. Also, I work at Rowan University as a research assistant in the Elementary Education Department. Last May, I received my bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. At Rowan, I was the captain of the women's varsity basketball team, volunteer for "get fit for children" and I tutor on the side. I am also a certified substitute teacher. I have 7 years of babysitting experience and some of my most recent jobs include: -The summer of 2014 and 2015, I babysat for two amazing little girls (Currently 5 and 7 years old) in Westfield, NJ. -In summer 2013, I babysat in New Providence for 5 and 3 year old boys; also, during this job I gained experience in Read more working with children with disabilities (globally delayed). -In summer 2012, I babysat 9 and 12 year old girls in Mullica Hill, NJ. Also, I help coach basketball year around with children ranging from the ages of 10-17. I am very experienced with many different types of children and I believe that I am a very fair and responsible babysitter. As an athlete, I am very active and I love to keep my kids entertained. It is going to be summer time and the last thing I would want is my kids to be bored and miserable inside a house. I enjoy doing crafts and other activities with children too. Also, I am an experienced tutor and I would love to help a child with any subject if it was needed. I am CPR certified and I also took a semester long class called "Safety and First Aid" which has really prepared me how to care for someone in an emergency.
