Hello! My name is Connie Duffy I am 23 and recently moved to NJ from CA. I am married with a 6 year old daughter named Scarlett and my husbands name is Tom and he recently just finished 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. Children have always been a passion to me and I have always had the heart for them! I feel that being a nanny/babysitter is a very important job! I have always treated other children like my own I don't believe in favoring siblings and I believe in outdoor activities and arts and crafts as we'll as basic learning skills! I will not sit your child in front of a television for hours. I treat children like I would expect and want mine to be treated and that's with love and compassion and understanding of their creative growing minds! When I lived in CA I Read more worked for the Department of Social Services and I was a caregiver to a special little man with Down syndrome my experience only grew from there I helped him with improving his language development, social skills and understanding the scientific mathematical concept by using children's play, such as storytelling and games. I went to college and became a dental assistant after the family had moved to another state. I received my associates degree and I immediately found a job in a pediatric specialty office. My job consisted of taking digital X-rays, dental treatments, maintained protocols, assisted in General anesthesia. I have taken CPR certified classes due to my job. I had to resign my job as to my husband being in the military and having to move to another state. I loved my job working with children it has always made me genuinely happy to go to work. I will be more than just a babysitter I will be your child's new friend and your helper as we'll! I would love to answer your questions and thoughts of any sort.
