Hi! My name is Georgia Willison, I am currently away at school at the University of New Hampshire but am starting the search for a summer babysitting job. My summer break is from May 11th to mid August (I don't have my exact move in date yet). I am a sophomore Human Development and Family Studies Major and Disability Studies Minor and will be going into my junior year by the summer, some of the classes I have completed for this major include Human Development, Intimate Relationships and Family Studies, and Developmental Perspectives in Infancy and Early Childhood. While at school I work with youth programs at the campus recreation center (ages 5-13) and am a support teacher at a local Montessori preschool/daycare (ages 6 weeks-6 years). Between both of those jobs I have completed a lot of training's and certifications, I am CPR and First Aid Certified, have completed Read more a Blood Borne Pathogen Training, a Protection of Minors Training, a Basic Risk Management Training, an Infectious Disease Control Training, a SIDS and Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Head Trauma training, an Administering Medication in a Childcare Setting Training, a Child Development: Milestones From Birth to Twelve Training, and a Recognizing Allergic Reactions in a Childcare Setting Training. I apologize for the long list, and have proof of each certification/training completion upon request. I also had to get fingerprinted and go through a background check for those jobs, but am happy to complete a background check through SitterCity if you would like! I can also provide relevant references upon request. I have been babysitting since I was in 6th grade, so just about 8 years and worked at my church's nursery for about 2 years. Last summer I worked as a camp counselor at a day camp located in New Hampshire for the majority of the summer where I had a group of 8 to 12 kids in the 5-6 age group and also spent a week with 4 families (8 kids) in OBX! Now that I have listed off my experience let me tell you a little more about me! I am 19 years old and will be 20 in August 2023. I am very energetic and optimistic and love working with kids. In my free time I enjoy hiking, skiing, running, swimming, yoga, and really anything outdoors. I also really enjoy coloring, music analysis, and traveling. After I complete my undergraduate degree my goal is to either enter a master's or doctorate program for Occupational Therapy and hope to one day work as a pediatric occupational therapist.
