Hi there! My name is Melaney, currently a college student majoring in nursing. Three words that best describe me is enthusiastic, patient, and most importantly responsible. Although I am only a college student, I have plenty of experience when it comes to children. From my sophomore to senior year in high school, I was a dedicated first grade religion teacher and continuously created a fun and interactive environment for the children. Additionally, I currently volunteer with a 7 year old boy who is diagnosed with autism. Here I engage in meaningful play by incorporating educational techniques and providing emotional support. Lastly, I have also been involved with coaching youth basketball for three years, partaking in clinics at the JCC and assisting in coaching 8th grade and high school teams. While caring for children is one of my strong suits, I also take pleasure in dedicating my time toward assisting adults Read more as well. I currently volunteer my time at JFK Hospital, assisting patients and the nursing staff as well as partaking in clerical work. I take great pride in what I do and I always do things to the best of my abilities One thing that I would like you to know best about me is that I constantly strive to improve and I find great satisfaction in bettering the lives of others, no matter how small or big the impact.
