I have been babysitting for 14+ years with several of those years working as a mother's helper/nanny during summer months. I have babysitting experience working with children ages 2 to 13 (professionally I have worked with kids through ages 17). I am capable of cooking, baking, doing light cleaning (laundry, dishes), and driving kids to activities or appointments. In the past, my role while babysitting has included the following: playing games, cooking, bathing, putting kids to bed, feeding, homework help/tutoring, arts n' crafts, taking to activities, helping with chores, and creatively thinking of activities to do with kids. I actively try to avoid leaving kids in front of the television or other electronics and engage them in fun activities. I grew up in Edison, NJ and went to Rutgers University for my BA. While at Rutgers, I babysat on weekends and worked 3 part time jobs. During the summers, I Read more increased hours and became a nanny. After graduation I worked for a year at Carrier Clinic and then decided to go back to school. I went to NYU for my Masters in Social Work. I now have my LSW and I work as a Group Therapist for adults at Princeton House. Through my experiences, I have developed organizational skills, patience, understanding, empathy, the ability to adapt, communication skills, time management, and patience. I have energy to keep kids entertained and to run after them, around the house or at the park. I played sports for years and go to the gym regularly, making me capable of playing sports games with kids. I am willing to learn more and understand I need to abide by the rules of the family. I am looking for week night sitting or weekend/date night sitting!
