I became a caregiver initially because I was very young and needed money to enjoy my teenage years. Being one of eight children within my immediate family, it was definitely a challenge getting money out of my parents for things that I wanted. I am the the 7th out of the bunch and so by the time I turned 14 years old I was the one being entrusted with takign care of all of my new nieces, nephews, and cousins that were being born because I had no job and outside of school and sports I had no real life. I have dedicated my life to taking care of people and recently graduated from Rowan University with a B.S. in Biological Sciences where I intended to take with me into medical school next fall to become a neurological surgeon. What makes me a great caregiver is that I genuinely love Read more what I do and I believe that it is my purpose in life to take care of people and make sure that they are always at their best, and if they are not i work diligently to find solutions to others problems. I am always more than willing to put others before myself because selflessness is something that is lacking in this day-and-age and some people need a helping hand. I do not have any specific certifications that allowed me to become a caregiver (I am not sure if I need that or not) but I have a passion for catering to all living things in a way that is both enjoyable and hopefully beneficial to them. As aforementioned I have a large family, this means that I have babysat newborns, toddlers, preteens, twins, and siblings of 3 or more throughout my years and although not always easy, I was always able to complete my task. I am also currently a soccer coach for Little Kicks. It is a soccer program where I instruct children from ages 18mo - 8yrs on the basics of soccer over a 6 week course with classes being 1hr at a time. The younger classes are "mommy and me" class types so I have experience dealing with parents and them emerging their child in first time sports. I am more than capable of dealing with children that might be on the spectrum or have behavioral issues because in addition to these children being apart of the Little Kicks program, a major part of my studies at Rowan were psychology based so I am very comfortable with working with all types of children and providing more attention where necessary.
