Hello! I have always had a passion for working with children! I graduated from the University of Chicago in June 2014. While enrolled at UChicago I conducted research with pediatric patients. After graduating I spent the year working as a clinical research coordinator at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York in pediatrics. I am back in New Jersey applying to nursing schools, and putting the finishing touches on a couple papers that I hope to have published by Spring. I am hoping to continue working in pediatrics as a nurse practitioner! I previously have been a nanny for an 11 year old girl, and 8 year old boy. I spent an entire summer with them, both assisting in light household responsibilities and tutoring. In Chicago I babysat twice a week for two boys, ages 18 months and 3.5 years old. We would read, play at the local park, and Read more when winter came build snowmen. Both of my parents are educators, and so I am very comfortable working with students. In addition to my previous childcare experience, I have volunteered with autistic children for many years, as well as children with cancers and blood disorders. I spoke with Victoria by phone to conduct an initial phone screening. She seemed pleasant, experienced, and very eager to move forward in the interview process. We set up a meeting. I never heard back from her again. I both emailed her and sent a text. Victoria did not respond. I completely understand if Victoria changed her mind about the job. That is quite acceptable. However, I thought Victoria would have had the professional courtesy to inform me of her change in decision. At no point did she follow up with me. This says a lot about her reliability. Based on my experience with Victoria, I can not recommend her to the Sittercity community.
