I am currently a junior at Villanova University double majoring in Psychology (B. S.) and Honors and minoring in Theater, but I am in a combined program and begin my graduate studies in the fall. I initially began as a tutor for a few families in the Northern Valley area, but the families of the children I would tutor quickly began to ask me to babysit. At the time, I had only ever sat for my cousins, but my network quickly expanded - my Sophomore Honors English teacher even hired me to watch her two children for a summer! I am doing research in a Cognitive Developmental Psychology laboratory next semester because I just absolutely love children and am so fascinated by all they say and do. I am a certified yoga instructor, so I am actually trained in staying calm and relaxed. I spent the summer as my mother's Read more caretaker, and she has ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), so I have a lot of experience with the disabled. Additionally, I have tutored and babysat for children with special needs. I live an incredibly healthy and active lifestyle, so these are values I try to instill in all of the children I babysit. I am able (and excited to!) prepare healthy, balanced meals and get kids moving. Moreover, I have a heavy theater background, so I am very lively and animated!
