I have worked with children in a variety of different capacities for the past 15 years. I have babysat for countless families in and around my neighborhood and cared for children spanning the ages of weeks old infant babies to teenagers. I spent many summers working as a counselor at an arts camp based in Hoboken. My primary responsibilities included caring for the youngest children at the camp, ages ranging from 2 to 4 years old, and making sure that they were always supervised while using the bathroom, helping them to eat lunch, facilitating nap time, reading books, doing arts and crafts, all while insuring their safety. I have also taken care of kids with special needs, including children with autism, Down syndrome and children with hearing impairments and physical disabilities. I also have experience with older children. I was a volunteer tutor for low income and needy children in Read more Argentina where I helped with homework and provided emotional support for troubled teenagers. I feel more than comfortable and equipped to handle the needs of an infant as I have babysat for multiple growing families in and around Hoboken over the years. Some of the children I babysat as newborns and are now taller than I am! I would be happy to provide references if need be.
