Hi! My name is Julia Smith, and I am a rising sophomore at Colgate University. I am passionate about working with children and creating a fun environment where they can learn and grow. At Colgate, I serve as the volunteer safety manager of the Girls Golf Team and a leader of the Hamilton Outdoor Group. As the safety manager, I ensure all participants stay safe during practices and tournaments. I am trained in first aid and prepared to respond to medical emergencies if necessary. With the Hamilton Outdoor Group, I lead 4th and 5th graders to engage in a variety of outdoor activities. I love planning hikes, outdoor games, and educational activities for the kids. Also, throughout high school, I coached a gymnastics pre-team. I taught 6-10-year-olds foundational gymnastics skills and how to develop confidence and resilience. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, painting, hiking, and Read more writing. I love incorporating these hobbies into my babysitting if the kids are interested. I truly enjoy working with children and am happy to help with driving, prepping snacks/meals, organizing fun activities homework, and supervising playdates.
