I was an overnight camp counselor for 3 summers, where I cared for children ages 6 to 10 for 7 weeks. The parents of my campers trusted me not only to supervise their children, but to help them have fun and build friendships throughout the summer. During high school, I was babysitting/petsitting for neighbors, friends, and family. This included driving to activities and practices, feeding meals, and light housework. I also continued to work with children once I got to college by working in a preschool and teaching swimming lessons.
