I am a retired special ed teacher. As part of my teaching experience, I provided a physical education program for students with physical and developmental disabilities. Having a younger brother with Down Syndrome was one of the reasons I decided on a career in special ed. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be caregiver for my brother for ten years. I have been in education for almost thirty years. I hold teaching certifications in physical education and teacher of the handicapped.
