A little about myself.  I am a married mother of 3.  My youngest son is 29.  I was blessed with 2 more children, a son and a daughter when I married my husband 11 years ago.  I am also the grandmother of an amazing 5 yr old granddaughter from my youngest son. I will try and be as brief as possible as far as my work experience.  For 14 yrs I was employed with the Jersey City Board of Education as a Teacher Assistant working with children with special needs, (mainly children with autism).  Shortly after marrying I  worked briefly for the North Arlington Board of Education in the Special Ed dept., until I left to care for my mother-in-law until her passing. I then chose to go on my own mainly because I liked the intimacy with working with families and children so closely.  I am a strong advocate of positive reinforcement.  I Read more have used it in the past and will continue to do so as I have seen the positive results.  I have attended numerous workshops during my employ with the JCBOE in this area because of the children I worked with.  I have always worked closely with families and make sure that we are all on the same page as far as discipline and so far it has been extremely successful. I have worked with multiples. I worked with a family with 3 boys, 2 month old twins and a 2yr old., so I definitely have learned to multitask.  I am also extremely comfortable with newborn care.
