Hello! I recently moved out of New York City leaving my job in childcare (ages prek-8th) of 3 years. Now I am back in school, training to become a Pilates teacher and generally have a flexible schedule. I loved working with the kids, and the emotional reward of impacting their small lives. In addition to my professional experience in childcare, I also have always had young kids in my family to look after. Why do you love being a sitter? I love being a sitter because I truly enjoy working with kids and being a positive part of their day. I have a strong background working with children in a variety of settings. I’ve worked in a preschool with children ages 3–5, have experience babysitting, and taught first grade in Paterson, New Jersey. What skills and training do you have? My education is in psychology, and I’m currently in school to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. I started babysitting way back when I was just 12yrs old. I have a grown son and a teen daughter. While I do not currently work, I have over 16yrs experience as an LPN, primarily as a pediatric and family practice nurse. I live in Belvidere, with my husband and teen daughter.
