As a parent myself I truly understand what it means to care for a child. I’m very passionate about children and their foundation for the future. I have over 100 college credits from the University of New Orleans in prekindergarten through 3rd grade teaching. Knowledgeable about and have experience with children with physical and learning disabilities such as, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, dyslexia, audio and visual lifestyles. I love to research so if I don’t know something I make it a priority to learn. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade science and social studies. I currently substitute teach part time. My 3 children are all grown up and I couldn’t be more proud of each of them. I’ve always taught my kids to go after their dreams and not ever allow anyone to discourage them. Two of my kids are in the Army National Guard and my oldest is a Successful professional. I have 14 nieces and nephews that are very close to my heart.
