Rachel came to meet us and seemed SO LOVELY. All of the kids were comfortable with her right away. We hired her and requested references. She responded and I spent the time following up with her previous employer. 20 minutes before she was supposed to start this morning, she texted that she wouldn't be taking the job after all. Totally irresponsible.
