Hey there! I have varied experiences with one to one care for both special needs children and adults. I spent 9 summers working at a special needs summer camp also serving blind and visually impaired children. Eventually, I worked my way up to Assistant Camp Director and trained staff in personal care as well. I am comfortable with feeding, bathing, transfers, play-time, etc. I certainly do not why away from a challenge, either! In all my years, i have definitely "seen it all." =) I am also certified by DDD as a "Med Tech" to disburse medications in the state of NJ and have experience with working directly with the medical staff of the summer camps in doing so. I am comfortable with feeding tubes and other adaptive equipment used in special needs care. The Fun Stuff: I enjoy playing music, especially guitar and some piano. I also enjoy dancing Read more and playing board games/cards. I like arts & crafts and anything that involves creativity! I live a pretty healthy lifestyle and enjoy cooking with organic fresh ingredients! I am looking for part time work either babysitting or giving personal care to those with special needs. I can provide many references and am ready to set up interviews with you to see if I'm the right person for the job! *Please note that I do not have a driver's license, but there is no issue in reaching your home at any time. Also, rates are negotiable depending on your particular situation.
