Growing up, I always helped my mom take care of my two brothers, the twins are younger than me by almost three years and were born four months premature with disabilities. It was through growing up with my brothers that I met other children with special needs either in their classes or out in the world. As a caregiver, I have worked with your average hyper little boys who love to run and scream. I babysat my two boys for about a summer and some of the year and I love them endlessly but college does not allow my schedule to add up with theirs, so they had to seek help elsewhere. Even though I am the oldest of three children, I don't think I remember a time where I wasn't surrounded by kids in some capacity. Whether it was at work in the grocery store or at school or Read more even in my neighborhood. I've spent years learning how to interact with patience and how to have fun being a big kid myself. I go to college so I cannot work early mornings till summer and I have a fluctuating weeky work schedules where I work part time at Harmons. I am scheduled for only one or two days a week so I am rather available.
