I began working with children as a teacher's aide at an extended school year program for special needs preschoolers ages 3-6. This required me to watch the children and play with them while the teacher was working on another task. I privately tutored a student in multiple subjects for three years, starting when the child was nine. I've also worked as an English tutor at a volunteer program for students ages 5-12 and as a camp counselor for children ages 7-12. Working with such a diverse group of children over the last six years has provided me with high levels of patience and understanding. My personal interests are in the arts. This past summer I traveled to Florence, Italy to study painting and art history. I recently finished my Bachelor's in childhood education, and I'm currently working on my Master's degree in special education
