I am a 4th grade special Ed teacher of seven years looking for some extra summer work. I am certified in elementary Ed and special Ed, majored in developmental psychology, and have a Masters degree as well. I worked in day care for 7 years before and during college. My experience includes infants through pre-K. Other than working at a daycare, I have been babysitting locally since I was about 12 for all age children. In addition, I nannied full time for a family in the summers for about 6 years and still keep in touch with them (the boys are now 8 & 13 and I began working with them when the youngest was 6 months old) and help them out occasionally. I have also had a lot of experience with newborns as young as three weeks old. I have worked at different summer camps, including one for kids Read more with special needs on the Autism spectrum. I also tutor elementary age children during the school year and summer. I love kids and spend a lot of time with my friends' kids and kids in my family. I love being active and creative, yet structured with them. Because I am a teacher, I value education and try to infuse that into activities in order to keep up those important skills. I am patient, responsible, and energetic. I have taken CPR courses in the past, although I do not have a current certification.
