I was raised in a community that took care of each other. From a young age I was involved with caring for other folks of varying ages and was babysitting on my own by the age of 10. I love all ages; it is so cool to see whole humans develop and shift as they learn and grow more deeply into themselves. I believe in honoring an individual’s autonomy and sense of self; to trust their own internal wisdom and intuition to guide them in life. Society is often ageist in thinking youth are incompetent; I disagree with this and believe the opposite is true - when given the space to be curious, to think, to express, to shine… young folks are often ahead in many ways because they are fresh to this world and have their own unique gifts to support themselves and others. My longest standing sitting role was as a nanny for a 15-25 month old when I was 26. In the last year I’ve watched my friend’s 4 year old for biweekly sleepovers at age 32. I am confident in my abilities to be responsible for any aged person. I am a health coach, freelance writer, stand up comedian, songwriter, and non-binary queer individual.
