Hello Parents! My name is Sophie, and I love working in dynamic environments, thrive in chaos, and love being put on the spot to come up with ideas, whether that be games, meals, or how to navigate a kiddo who doesn't want to go to bed. I have lots of experience working with children, from nannying through high school, babysitting throughout university for various families, working as a tutor, and coaching children's sports teams. I'd love the opportunity to meet your family and see where I could help! Why I am looking for work: I am currently a teacher assistant for remote classes at the university where I did my undergrad. I finished my undergrad in Public Health in December 2023 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Atlantic Canada. I am spending plenty of time self-studying some of the material I need to recall for graduate school and want an engaging job that keeps me on my toes, and nothing is more engaging than working with kids! More about me: I love to run, hike, climb, play tennis, travel and explore new areas in my free time. I moved here from Canada but have lived all over North America. I travelled through Central and South America. I am a big reader and love finding new books of all genres (other than sci-fi)! I am a music lover and used to play lots of instruments but have none at the moment. I love my family dearly but live very far from them now.
