I work with K-5 students for the City of Las Cruces After School Program. I am a Youth Services Monitor; I work with the students every school day and ensure all are present, safe and participating in each day's activities. Our activities include exercise, games and recreation, snack, study, art and reading. I help students with homework, arts and crafts, and I read to students as well. During the summer 2017 I had the same position, working with K-5 students in addition to middle school students. Our daily activities were breakfast, free play, group activity, exercise, lunch, reading and games. Each week there were field trips to the movies and to the swimming pool. I have experience babysitting family members and for families from my church and high school. As a Senior Girl Scout, I helped to lead camp activities for the younger Girl Scouts. I enjoy working with children, Read more and my favorite activities include arts and crafts, board games and puzzles, and reading. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. In the near future I plan on returning to school to earn my degree in Early Childhood Education.
