I am a graduate from Oceanside High School and I am currently attending MiraCosta College. During two years in high school I have took ROP classes in Developmental Psychology of Children. I have earned a 100% certificate of completion and have acquired specific Occupational Competencies as outlined by the ROP/CTE program. I am enrolled in Child Development classes right now at Mira Costa College and have eared 18 units in child care during the past two years. While attending Oceanside High School, I interned at Mission Elementary. I completed 100 hours at the center, primarily working during the mornings. I also earned 2 credits for Mira Costa College at the completion of my internship. I was responsible for developing and presenting lessons in art, music, outdoor play, storytelling, math, science, and anti bias/social awareness. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the children whom most children are between 2-6 years old. Read more I feel that as a result of their education at Mission Elementary, they are ready for kindergarten. I feel confident that the work and interaction that I had with them on regular basis benefitted them educationally and socially. My work has convinced me that I am capable and excited to work in Early Childhood Education. Please consider me for this position.
