I'm a 53yr old, semi-retired (from a professional HR career) mother of an 19yr old son, who is in college in New York. Being retired, I have a pretty flexible schedule so if you need someone on specific days/night or even a last minute or as a back-up sitter feel free to reach out with the details and I'll see if I can make it work. I have always loved being with children and so when the company I was working for got acquired and I was laid off, I decided to do what I love and joined Sittercity. I'm newish to Vegas (July 2022) so some of my babysitting experience is from NYC where I lived for 23yrs and where I raised my son. We spent numerous hours in parks and playground and museums I love to be outside and we have walked all over the city and even Read more today my son's " go to" when he is bored is to take walks. I am a patient and warm person who loves to get down on the floor with the kids (for playing, reading, creating). One of the key skills in HR is to be a good listener and to create an environment that engages employees, I feel these skills are also essential when working with children. Creating an environment for the child in my care to play, engage, learn and grow would be my primary objective. I love singing (although I can't carry a tune) and dancing - basically I'm still a kid at heart and I truly feel like kids are amazing - the questions they ask and also the way they communicate before they can use their words etc... My experience has been with a variety of ages from babies to 10 yrs old and I feel comfortable with all ages.
