Hello! My name is Raquel. I have been working with children for about nine years (mostly in a classroom or daycare setting, but nannied for one year). I have experience working with children who are 6 weeks to 13 years old (the greater part of my experience is with children who are 6 months to five years old). I have taught in Montessori and Reggio schools and have worked with children who have higher developmental, emotional and behavioral needs. I also led a parenting class for two years. I am comfortable with potty training and happy to help. I believe consequences/redirection should be logical, appropriate to age and teach the child about the world in which they live. I know many games, activities, songs and snacks that keep children entertained and happy. I’m currently transitioning between careers and would love to do some work with kids.
