Hi! My name is Kristin Art. I'm 20 years old and looking for a long-term nanny position. I babysat for various families all throughout high school with kids ranging from infants to 10 year olds. Currently I babysit for a family with three kids, so I'm used to keeping up with high energy and taking care of multiple tasks at once. I am not yet CPR/ first aid certified, but will be soon. I grew up in San Leandro, California and moved to Reno about 5 years ago. A year after the move, I decided to fully invest myself into academics and leadership and I was able to graduate high school with not only a diploma, but also an Associate of Science Transfer Degree from Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC). I also served as the Student Body President my senior year and was very involved in leadership and a business Read more leaders club. After graduating high school, I decided to take a gap year off before heading back to college, and I joined a program called Generation Peace Academy (GPA), which is a nonprofit organization that focuses on character development and leadership skills. Through the program, I was able to participate in various service projects and workshops all across the U.S. as well as in Panama twice. I had such a life-changing experience, that I actually decided to stay another year as a volunteer to help GPA by mentoring and guiding young adults on issues and values such as self-esteem, relationships, confidence, direction and goal setting while keeping them accountable for their ambitions. There was a huge spectrum of activities that I participated in through the program though, and I'd love to share about it more in detail if you are ever interested. So, I just got back to Reno a couple of weeks ago, at the end of June, and the plan now is to take another year off to work and establish residency in California before I head to college in Los Angeles. Therefore, I am completely available at the moment and looking to work as a full-time nanny. I've always been great with kids and enjoy putting love and effort into them; I have seen and read numerous times how impactful a child's upbringing can be on their personality and self-value, and strongly believe that a babysitter's job is to help the parents in providing genuine love and discipline. Here's just a little bit about me, but I do believe you'll be able to tell a lot more by meeting in person, so I look forward to any interviews and screening sessions.
