Hi, I’m Vana! I’m a 23-year-old from Bayside, Queens, studying Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and I absolutely love working with kids! I have over 11 years of childcare experience, starting as a counselor-in-training at 12 years old. Over the years, I have worked as a camp counselor, nanny, and babysitter for children ages 4–12. As a camp counselor, I also co-led a successful baking workshop for two camp sessions, which was a major highlight for the campers. During the school year, I hold a full-time babysitting position, and I am currently looking for a summer job before I return to that role in September. My last day at my current job is June 26th, and I am available to start immediately afterward for the summer! (My current employer is happy to serve as a reference and would be more than willing to speak with anyone I am Read more interviewing with.) I am looking for a family who needs a full-day sitter or someone to help after camp during the weekdays. After June 26th, I am available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 7 PM until September. I am flexible, reliable, have my own car, and am more than willing to help with household necessities like cooking, cleaning, and organizing activities. I’m a natural problem solver with extensive experience in balanced conflict resolution, especially among siblings. I am also happy to complete CPR certification if needed. (Just a heads-up: I am allergic to some COVID-19 vaccine ingredients but can provide medical documentation if necessary.) Beyond childcare, my passions include all types of games, art, crafting, cooking, baking, fashion, music, animals, and spending time outdoors. I am all about creativity, whether it’s crafting, baking new recipes, playing games, or finding fun ways to enjoy the outdoors. I am extremely knowledgeable about cooking and baking healthier alternatives to favorite foods, and if wanted, I can prepare healthy, kid-friendly meals. I would also love to teach the kids how to bake and cook from scratch, using both my own recipes and recipes I’ve come to love over the years. I always try to bring positive energy and fresh ideas into the activities I plan! I am passionate about working with children and committed to creating a safe, engaging, and positive environment.
