Hello parents, guardians, and caregivers! My name is Maya Marcy, I am 24 years old and I graduated from Penn State in 2021 with a major in Plant Sciences and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. My HDFS minor features a concentration in early childhood education and advanced infant development. Additionally, I am certified in First Aid/CPR/AED for infants, children, and adults. I worked as an infant teacher at the YMCA for several months. I was recently a full time nanny for an infant girl for several months. For nearly a year I was a part time babysitter for 2 premature infant twins, so I have experience with how to operate a feeding tube. I also had the privilege of growing up with a very premature little sister as well, so I have experience with using a nebulizer, leg braces, and cerebral palsy.
