I am a widow. I retired from Department of Homeland Security. So I have already cleared a very extensive background check. I volunteered at church, I lead the toddler program for 3 years and teen program for 2 years. I enjoy children. This was just the natural thing for me to do. My college and early experience was retail and management. I currently am watching a 1 and 3 year old. My philosophy when caring for children is consistency. I believe the parents have the best intuition on what is best for their children. That is why I insist on communicating with the parents regularly so I can be doing things the same way they are. I like to keep the parents informed of the child's time with me. I am a very open outgoing personality. I am a very young grandma. My grandchildren say I'm the fun grandma. I Read more had a problem with the question about pets. I don't hate animals but I don't love them. I tolerate them. I am uneasy around dogs till I get to know them. I don't like to touch or pet them. Cats I'm afraid of.
