Meet Jacquelina

I have a strong desire to work with children. I am patient, smart, fun and hardworking. I started working in a Daycare as a Teacher's aid. I enjoyed it because I was with the younger kids who were so cute and full of energy. Some of the activities that I did with them were arts and crafts, assist in circle time where the children would learn there ABC and days of the week. I would play games and go outside with them and have a great time. What I learned from the experience was being in a classroom environment and monitoring 13 children. Then I decided to take classes to become a Home Health Aid. I worked with the elderly but also work with children with special needs. I worked with a child who had autism. I worked in the home and assisted his parent with his daily needs. I Read more changed diapers, bathe, and fed. My experience at the job prepared me to perform tasks to assist individuals based on their specific needs. I currently work in the Hallen School in New Rochelle. I am a 1:1 aide working with a teen with down syndrome. I am interested in being a teacher's assistance. I am going to take the test needed so that I can be more hands on with all the students in a classroom. I plan on
