In 2012, I began working as a direct support professional (DSP) for a not-for-profit social services agency. My goal was to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in becoming more integrated into their community. While encouraging behaviors that enhance an individual's community inclusion, I also aided individuals in leading more self-directed lives. Before I had became a DSP, I was a babysitter and pet sitter for the people in my neighborhood. I was previously CPR and First Aid certified, however my certification expired a few months ago while I was studying abroad. I was attending university in Japan for exactly one year, and came back home to New York this August. I am very flexible when it comes to different types of situations, so if you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
